My erhu was bought over 13 years ago but I have only just discovered I can leave a review!

It had taken me such a long time to break-in, for five years I had been working abroad.

For a long time I found it underweight and it would slip from my lap. I also found the higher registers scratchy.

Now I actually like the light weight of the erhu and it seemed overnight I solved the scratchy high notes. It must be my playing.

It has developed a lovely warm tone and a lot more forgiving on the ear. It sounds great even when played poorly. Again it must be my improvement in bowing.

I find as the snakeskin ages I'm using a more lighter and taller bridge. To me a smaller, darker bridge makes this erhu sound muddy.

If you can afford this is a top tier erhu. Now I'm looking forward to how my Yu Kai Ming will sound like after 13 years.
