This is one of the best erhus that Zhejiang maker YKM makes.
The wood he uses is harvested from old furniture from the Ming / Qing Dynasty, which in other words, means very old and dense rosewood.
With such an exquisite wood, he uses a snakeskin of the highest grade.
The result is an erhu with a tone so rich and smooth, it's like drinking a cup of fine latte. The way the whole erhu vibrates when you bow just tops the icing on the cake. This is one erhu that can satisfy the meanest of erhu critics.
It also comes with alternative designs of the head and resonator's backing. More photos have been attached.
All our erhus come with CITES certificate to certify the snakeskin is from legitimate sources.
YKM, or Yu Kaiming, is a renowned maker that was once commissioned by Xi Jinping to make an erhu for the German Chancellor.
